Hi all,

whilst changing the water pump on my Disco 300tdi I have managed to round off one of the nuts holding the pulley on the PAS pump, everything else has come apart fine, so I now cannot get the last bolt out of the water pump, typical.

Anyhow, i think i'm going to end up having to drill the bolt out, where will i be able to source another couple and what is the part number if anybody knows. Is it likely to be a main dealer part only?

Many thanks
Nathan

Ring John Craddocks in Cannock they send you some also try knocking a slightly smaler imperial socket on it, drilling it out can be messy, an air impact wrench also shifts the most corroded bolts if you can get hold of one best of luck

thanks to both for your replies, i shall call craddocks and get them sent out.

I think the bolt is completely knackered it has been soaked in penetrator, hit, sworn at, bled on and none of those things have done the trick!

think i'm gonna have to try either a mobile mechanic or drill it out, but dont know if my skill set will deal with that!!
