Just fitting rocky mountain para and dampers as part of a major rebuild. How do i get the two rear bolts out that go thro the front rear of the spring? Nuts came off easy on the inside of the chassis but bolts v.tight. Can turn them with a breaker bar but not sure what to do. Grind/saw bolt heads off and put nut on to pull bolt through inside of chassis? Or make a threaded pusher to push bolts thro from inside? Will be renewing all bolts, links and bushes. Help please. Tried heat - no good

The bolts will be siezed inside the bushes so if you are replacing the hangers then use a 1mm grinding disc to cut through the bolts this will leave you with the bush in the chassis but the bolt will be in it drill out the rubber and knock out the the centre then you can hacksaw a slot in the bush then knock the remainder out clean the hole in the chassis and fit a new bush using studding to pull it in then fit the new parts

Do they really go bang or is this when they are under pressure, finking bout doin the same job as suspension is very suss since a jaunt over Dartmoor a week ago.

Come on Slob you'll scare everyone of landies forever with that one. It's got me shivering just thinking about the damage I might have caused. Some threads should come with a guidance note - Dabger Danger, Danger comedy, danger irony, danger silly **** taking themselves too seriously.
