Red bubber grease works fine but doesnt deal with high temps very well at all. If you do use it just replace it every time you do new brake pads.

The best is silicone based grease.

Yeah copaslip wont work as a lubricant for very long, itll stop the pins front siezing but the pins will eat away at themselves and the bores over time.

+1 on Red Rubber Grease. I thought it was formulated for that exact job? Lubricates the pins, but won't attack the rubber boots.

I bought a tin years ago, and as I don't rebuild my calipers very often, it'll turn out to be a lifetimes supply!

I also use it on O rings.
