island4x4.any idea who sells them ?
sorry news sadly i've gone down the replacement engine route, don't wanna do it again soon wasn't slipped liners for me, 'just' a cracked blockWell
At last found the problem. three liners have slipped causing a right dent in the head gasket Causing a slight crack on one side of the gasket. Can see where the liners have been Hitting the gasket . So not going to bother to repair. Also there is a lot of play in the pistons and a lot of oil. So rings have gone as well. So will sell it as Is. Someone will like a project to replace the engine or fit top hats.
Sad really was a lovely ride
Thanks to all the Contributed to this post if anybody wants to buy one let me know
i don't entirely agree with that. LPG does burn hotter, so the coolant has more heat to move, but if the radiator and viscous fan are in order, then you are goodWould love to get it going again. But was told that the LPG conversion Would of contributed to the overheating causing the liners to slip and I have read the LPG engines run a lot hotter and being an older engine obviously couldn’t take it sad but there we go
if it overheated on LPG, it would have overheated on petrol anywaysWould love to get it going again. 30%!? My car normally runs at 91c with the stat fully open at ~96c - 30% would be 118c, thats just ridiculousWas a brand new pump and fan. I was told by LPG fitter they run about 30% hotter
That's a bummer mateWell

Still got my 2.5 so have to be happy with that. Might see if I can swap the seats over. V8 seats were far more comfortable. But not sure the electrics there for them ??

Simply put.Would love to get it going again. But was told that the LPG conversion Would of contributed to the overheating causing the liners to slip and I have read the LPG engines run a lot hotter and being an older engine obviously couldn’t take it sad but there we go
As long as your 2.5 has a Hi Line BECM you should be able to fit electric seats, I can't remember but they may need to be enabled with diagnostics.Still got my 2.5 so have to be happy with that.
