Have you got a boat Alan?
The thought is nice but not at this point in my life. :)
Did have Mark but it was a 1924 32ft twin masted ketch, very high maintenance and over £2k p a to keep it in Liverpool marina. It had quite a history the duke of Edinburgh learnt to sail on her when it was owned by one of the masters at Gordonstone.Bit sorry but relieved when it sold.:)

Wow, I could only dream... That sounds amazing. What sort of value would you put on a vessel with that kind of legacy... Don't respond to that directly but amazing ;)

Heard of PRNDL for park, reverse, neutral, drive lever?
You mean the gear stick o_O

The sensor goes open circuit when it reaches the predefined 'I'm too hot' temperature

Anyway - they fail quite regularly. Mine is intermittently dodgy, claiming overheat at random so it is unplugged and I've bridged the terminals of the plug until I get a replacement as a temp fix ;)

short the plug on the vehicle side of the loom side of the loom to test), and the message will go away - nothing needs resetting.

On a V8, the cooler can just about be seen down the side of the gearbox cooler. The plug for the sensor is blue and on leads.

Not sure if the diesel is same as petrol, but on my 4.6 the gearbox cooler sensor is a simple on-off switch. If the connector is open circuit the warning come up.

You can bleed it by squeezing the top hose so the little hole in the expansion tank filler neck jets antifreeze out then block the little hole and release the pipe. Or... Overfill a touch and run the engine while topping up as necessary. It shouldn't be worry unless you have drained the whole system. Which you haven't ;)
