Been having a look at front props as mine is now goosed, does anyone know what the difference is between FTC4140 and TVB000130 apart from the price as the TVB number says diesel auto only , mine is a auto but has a manual rear prop on as it kept chewing the rubber joint up, just seems odd that the TD auto one seems to be different when the lengths are the same ?

I fitted a rear prop off a manual diesel , and I have a FTC4140 that's good lying about somewhere , I just didn't want to fit it if there was something odd with it saying that it doesn't fit , but I can always offer it up and hope that it won't slide apart maybe if the only difference is a cm in length

If it keeps chewing the rubber up then I would think the viscous coupling is goosed. Or is yours lifted?

Do you want me to measure another prop?

I have a standard 4.6 sat over the pit:D.

with his lift he needs length;)

Thought you fitted the 4.6 rear prop:confused: or was that someone else?

I've a vague memory the gearbox length was different between some models. Might have been early diesel autos. Datatek or overlandrover would know.

Difference were between Auto 22 & 24 on early 24s (15mm longer) later 24s were the same, but think that LR took up the difference with 22 length somewhere so they were effectively the same length, (not sure of the last statment) thats why a tape measure is the best bet:).

There is a spacer on the end of the HP22 to make it the same length as the HP24
