P38 - Help!

Bought a 2.5 l diesel 3 weeks ago, even AFTER reading all the posts of here before. I gather this topic may have been done to death (cutting out...amongst other things!) but I regret I am a better driver than I am mechanic - any experts and die hard RR experts I can speak with on the Wirral or Liverpool?
