If you use the key, do you not have to use the EKA code? If the FOB unlocks the car, then the FOB battery is OK, in fact a low battery in the FOB produces a warning message "Replace FOB battery" or some such on the message centre. Low starter battery can cause strange things, but most likely it's due to wet electrics round the BECM.Funny you should say that... Upon trying to start my car the last couple of days it say engine disabled, but I think the battery on my keys has had it, would that cause this? If I lock and unlock the car manually it starts fine. Is it dead battery in key or the leak? I'll do it next week
