I was forcing some wires behind my glovebox; now, it does not close. I assumed it was the latch cable that I disconnected, so upon undoing the glovebox, I could not see anything odd (I know nothing about it, but to my untrained eye, it looked normal)

Can someone please advise on what to do?

The cable does not appear to be pulling correctly ? It's much easier to do with the assembly on the bench or table.

These screws should adjust the latch towards the front lid. There's a hole to access the screw heads for adjustment.
If they are too far into the housing the catches will not latch.

Make sure these are in the correct position before trying to close it, otherwise it will not latch. Test them using a screwdriver of same diameter as the locking bars.

Interesting - both my latches are in the open position. Thanks, I'll give it a try tomorrow. Odd to me as I touched none of the screws.

Those glove boxes are an utter PITA if you disturb them. Last time I just left mine closed for 2 years and it suddenly started working again.

Solved! Thanks a bunch.

I just altered those screws a few times. It’s not 100% but it shuts normal now. I’m not going to even entertain the idea of toying with it. I’m just chuffed that it’s now fixed and my car is whole again.
