Hi. My '97 4.6 uses about 3.9gallons per 100km. Is that right. Then I'm doing 80-90 km/h on the cruise control.

My other problem is the radio. After it got some water in the #3 button stopped working, now I can't get my code to work. Any suggestions?

Hi ,not that good at the mpg/kmh convert... but sounds like you coverd 60 miles at about 50mph... at that steady speed i get 24-25 mpg .so just over 2 gallons for me..

i think that works out at 15.9mpg. my dhse does more like 25 but its also so slow it can't actually do 80/90 kmh!!

I go to Anglesey a lot and do about 60mph,about 100kph try to keepit on CC and the computer shows between 24-25.not to bad from a 4.6..

Now I'm completely lost...................

I've put in 63 liters.....

I drove 300km at 90km/h

Do you guys think it is normal?

63 litres = 13.9 UK gallons
300 km = 186 miles
90 km/h = 56 miles/hour

That means you are getting (186/13.9) = 13.4 mpg

13.4 mpg at 56 mph seems pretty poor to me .....

I had the car at one of the LR workshops on Friday. The checked the whole fuel line - Didn't find any leaks. They also checked the air/fuel mix and it was only 2% out.

If I open the roof I smell petrol inside the car.

Any suggestions?

not sure if this will be any help, but years ago , when i first had my 4.0 se i had a smell of petrol from outside of the car, had all fuel lines checked, feed and return, all connections in engine compartment, no faults found
then discovered that i was not doing the filler cap up enough,it is a pressurized system, done cap up till it clicked each time since and no more petrol smells.
