Yes mate it was would only let me put data in. I turned off and on still same thing. Not sure if need to press write settings to get the value but I dont want to do it if it mucks things up?

Car was idling I dont know with nanocom if you need to drive it to get the values but would of thought value just come up like live data
Do NOT press write settings unless you know what you are going to write.
The values should appear when you press Read Settings.
Need another Nanocom user to confirm that Nanocom will read those settings.

Go to the Nanocom web site and use the emulator to go through all the pages to familiarise yourself with the functions. Change NOTHING unless you note previous settings. I think I said earlier you have to learn how to use it. You can get yourself in a lot of trouble if you don't.

I have done my issue is that I cannot get any pump calibration readings on my nanocom?

I can get all other live data readings apart from pump calibration readings not sure why tried about 4 times.
 
@Grrrrrr on the nanocom tried to get pump calibration figures can only get idle value? Have attached screen shot.

Never touched any of those settings. Most I have ever needed is setting the static timing using the dial guage.

Wammers is the expert on these things. I'd go back very carefully over what has been done and construct a timeline of what each action and outcome was.

I always take a photo with my phone and save the settings to the SD card.
 
OK for a start. Connect Nanocom to car it will switch itself on. Switch Nanocom off and start engine. NEVER start engine with Nanocom on. NEVER disconnect Nanocom without switching it off. Go to P38 > EDC > EDC. Click faults, any stored faults will be listed. Click clear faults. Click settings. You will see a page of listed info. Click the right hand green arrow at bottom of screen. You will see the calibration screen. There should be numbers in the boxes. Top left box should be 8 all others should be 128 including idle setting. If no numbers or different numbers click on the number and change or enter correct one. But note previous settings. When all done click write settings. Click inputs you will see fuelling, switches and general. Under fuelling you will see all the fuelling info that you are looking for.

@wammers just followed the procedure above and still not getting any values. Am I best to enter the relevant values and write them? Do you know what they need to be?
 
He means the FIP values as you say normally 128; 8; 128 etc.
Odd that the numbers are blank in the EDC.

I have had a 1997 manual with those missing other than the idle value. But it had been played with and chipped. It even had the preset IAT temp that the EGR ECU has. Some of the readings where a little strange. I have already explained to him how to put them in. More important to him is the info under Inputs > Fuelling/Switches /General. Where he will get all the throttle pot, modulation, point of injection info Etc.

On the inputs, apart from the modulation figure which I know it should be, do you know what the readings should be on all the other inputs so I can compare to what I am getting or upload what I have for you to review if they are correct and in order?

That is up to you. They are there for a reason possibly mapping parameters. Read the download reference EDC from Nanocom site. That will help you to understand the live readings. I told you you need to understand how to use the Nanocom. You need to read up on it's functions and take them in. You can't just buy something as complicated as Nanocom and start pressing buttons willy nilly.

I would leave it. I've never known anyone ever touch that calibration screen other than to hide an issue.

I am more interested in why you cannot see anything. I wonder if there is something up with the ECU? Or someone played with it?
 
Faulty ecu was what I was thinking.
Now Lukas has a nanocom swapping ecu and writing the matching becm code is got to be worth a shot, ecu's are cheap.
