P38 facelift to 2006

Hi all,
I have been asked to upgrade a p38 to 2006 sport bumpers, lights and custom flared arches so thought I'd share some pics :)

initial cutting work done to headlamp panels and brackets made for bumper but as you can see the lights and grill seem to sit further forward so think its bonnet extension time lol

You know when plastic surgery sometimes just ruins everything and things stick out more than they should? Reminds me of something..... Some things are best left to grow old gracefully

Wish you the best of luck with a difficult job....

But it is a shame - the cost to convert a P38 and do it properly and make it look good (which most refits fail to do) would cost the same as a 2006 L322 in the first place...

Agreed. Plus an L322 is a better car in the first place. You might be able to make a P38 look like a newer model but underneath all the new bumpers, etc it will still be held together with bits of string and glue with an electrical system that can best be described as 'characterful' :)
 
THAT LOOKS AMAZING! i hope my p38 turns out like that, costing me just parts my dad does al body work so its gona look super duper, i dont get it when people dont like this p38 facelifts, but each to their own. I LOVE THEM

That should be finished and on the road by now. So where are the follow-up pictures of it, complete with the Underpigeon badges?

customer also decided he wanted airbrushing on the bonnet so something else for the haters to rant about but hey it pays the bills!
