Hi all

After a bit of tinkering today found that the backboxes on my P38 4.0 (LPG) are pretty Knackered.

Had a quick look around online, would love a full stainless system but too much moolah.

I found some standard stuff on Ebay and then came accross this which is cheaper than standard.

Not worried about performance just looking to save a few pennies. Or is it a false economy because they universal and a pig to fit.

Anybody got any advice?

Hi

I've just fitted these to my 2000 4.6: (along with a new center box too! :) )

I think the amount of cutting you'd need to do to get the 'universal' one to fit, it wouldn't be worth while. You'd probably have to cut both the existing exhaust and the rear skirt on the RR to get it to fit.

Tip for putting the new one on - jack the RR under the axle - if you try to do it on high profile suspension setting the rear anti-roll bar doesn't give much space between it and the spare wheel well / LPG tank.

Cheers

Marc

Hi mate what area are you in?? May be able to point you too some places.

Yiur cheapest option is a standard type exhaust..

Those universal back boxes will.fit but will requure some welding an pipe work.
