P38 EAS "Pressure Switch not Changing State"

Anyone ever encountered the EAS fault "Pressure Switch not changing state" on a P38 (1997)?

It's intermittent and I have to get the friendly local RR expert to reset it every now and again. I've tried replacing the compressor unit on advice it was likely to fail sooner or later, but that's not made any difference. I've had to have it reset ~4 times in the last 9 months, but twice in the last two weeks.

I had thought it was more likely to occur when the vehicle wasn't used for a few days, but more recently it's been happening after not being used for just a few hours.

Air suspension pumps up ok, goes up and down ok (or at least appears to). Pumps up immediately after being left standing and no sound of any air hissing, so fairly confident there's no leaks.

Local RR expert is reluctant to replace the pressure switch as he suspects it's only a symptom of the problem and not the actual cause.

Any help appreciated!

Changed one last week for the same reason,there was an issue with these switches a while ago which from memory resulted in LR changing their supplier.They told me to make sure when buying new ones to look at the packet and ensure that it came through Desford ( LR's parts central facility) It will actually have Desford printed on the packet.Some dealers may have old stock which could end up giving the same issue.Think it was about £52 +vat so not massive compared to paying for testbook resets.
I use a little 0 - 200 psi gauge to test the Eas - tee it into the valve block and then monitor with testbook to ensure the comp cuts in and out at the right time - What else can you do ?

I took your advice and had the pressure switch replaced as you suggested - and the part definitely came from Desford!
This was a few weeks ago and since then the EAS has locked up a further two times, registering the same fault. There are no other faults registered according to the testbook. What I am starting to notice now though is that the EAS is going down to the bump stops much quicker when it fails, and when parked on the driveway for a couple of days goes right down. I'm thinking there must be a leak somewhere.
I'm currently considering buying a valve block diaphram kit and/or having the air bags replaced. In your opinion, which do you think is more likely? The P38 is a 1997 model.

Had an LP in that was doing the same thing - ended up overlaying new wires into the harness between the switch and the Ecu.Its been OK since,if the car is starting to sink more quickly when parked I would do a soapy water test on the air springs and on the pipes where they push into the valve block,I rarely end up replacing/repairing valve block components.Its much more likely to be perished air springs that go down slowly,then every 6hrs the Ecu wakes up and levels the car down to match the leaky corner - losing more height/air.
