Hi, I have just got hold of a 1995 P38DT and am a bit confused about trim levels. I've seen on a number of places that the DT doesn't have leather seats however mine has. I know you can change them (obviously) but just want to find out the exact trim level so I can work out what has been changed and what is standard. Also how easy is it to buy up period factory options/ higher trim level features and install them? Especially heated electric seats and proper electric climate control.

Mine had them, a factory option the original owner specified.

Okay im just hearing different things from different sources so thanks for the comment
Without the original bill of sale (which I had for mine) you may not get a definitive answer unless you find physical evidence like date markers on bits of trim etc. You'll get plenty of guesses though :D

Okay so you can get climate control and electric seats in the DT then but how easy or hard would it be to install it into one without? Anybody had any experience doing that or trying?

Mate, you can virtually do anything with them as long as you have savvy and patience and a big bag of spare cash. There's plenty sat waiting in wreckers etc, you have to go along and suss it out, you'll get loads of good advice one here, but you have to do the ground work, seriously there's loads you can do. Happy winter

Fitting an Hevac unit and air con into one with a standard heater would be a considerable task not worth trying. Electric seats should be fairly straight forwards with a bit of fiddling.
