Looks very good, as you say, new airsprings and it should be job done for the EAS.
2 months driving a 944? It actually went that long without breaking down?
My keys just synced on their own after I changed the batteries (2001) although I'm pretty sure my eka thing has been disabled. I know exactly what you mean by the auto box, lots of revs and noise pulling away with a cold engine, a lot of the noise is the viscous fan for a short while.
Mine does 23 to 24 mpg around town which the handbook agrees with.
23/24 I’d be fairly happy with.
it’s due a filter and oil change anyway. If not for improving it then just for longevity,
Just replaced the key battery. How long do you have it in the ignition to sync?
I turned mine on. Let it run for maybe less than a minute admittedly and turned it off.
still not working. Checked the RF receiver is all plugged in which it is.
the only thing I’m wondering is this history for green oval and I wonder if they’ve turned off the remote function?? I’ve included a photo.
Work was done at 109,781 miles. Which is only 300miles ago.
new battery since which they warned might reset it but doesn’t seem to of
Going on the spec of the battery on the invoice, its a bit small 120ah 1000cca is the one we all use mf31, it wont have anything to do with the key sync but it will help the motor spin over and more capacity .
I thought the battery listed on the invoice was for his remote Brian. as posted next day delivery from battery megastore on line for less than£100.Going on the spec of the battery on the invoice, its a bit small 120ah 1000cca is the one we all use mf31, it wont have anything to do with the key sync but it will help the motor spin over and more capacity .
Well done I'll have to type quicker. It’s had a new battery since - it’s got 1100cca in now.

Ooooh yes pleaseFresh grease in the shafts
Does the led flash when you press the lock/unlock buttons?23/24 I’d be fairly happy with.

30mpg around town? was that on the dash? Never seen more than 24mpg around and about in France and nearer 20 in the UK traffic bith figures on brim to brim checks which I do with every fill.I don’t want to jinx myself. But it’s been an incredibly solid car. Pretty much everything’s been done on it. Body is a mess but it’s mechanically in good fettle.
Day two update on the p38
Definitely going to do a gearbox oil and filter change. Nothing super wrong but I’m only getting 18mpg around town when in my previous I got nearly 30. Feels like I’m loosing a lot via the transmission. I highly doubt it’s had a filter / oil chnage in a long time.
I know it’s a slush box but it does feel
Incredibly disconnected. In addition I park on a sloped drive and have to reverse out. Cold in the morning I had to give it quite a bit of revs to move
other job is put new batteries in the keys and sync. I’ve three keys including 2 normal one emergency but all are dead

My led flashs briefly also when the key is inserted into the ignition switch. Can't remember if the sync happened instantly or what, sorry, too long ago to remember.

I have seen 30mpg on a long run on the autoroute, I have 2 P38's and they are similar.
They do need a bit of wellie when cold.
When you do the oil & filter change on the box, follow the advice of Henry-b, check and tighten all the bolts on the valve block, they work loose.
They are cheap, it's the oil that costs.30 around town calculated. It must be said it was a manual and I’m the most ginger driver ever!
I’ll have a look out for that guide. I’ve seen mention of the valve block bolts.
just a quick one, does this seem the right service kit?

seems extremely cheap
