Ditto, hope I haven't pushed my luck.I have only had one rad go in 15 years and that was the original that split along the top.

Does it have an oil cooler built into the bottom of the rad Keith? Mines a manual and the gearbox oil cooler is built in.Next time fit a GEMS V8 RAD.
Think there's a pic of what I used in my rebuild thread? Crowbar between the wheel studs and braced against the floor. 3/4" drive socket, breaker bar and a short scaffold tube.I bought a bigger chissel, got some washers, took the brake disc on etc, tightend it fully down to the hub and smacked it from behind.
I can't say it did anything, i just have a tiny gap somewhere between the hub and the swivel joint, but it does not seem to grow any..
Also purchased a better penetration fluid, supposed to be quite good stuff. (GT7 By Tec7)
i did however fix some other MOT issues anyhow..
Now im letting it sit with the "better" penetration fluid for the day. Hopefully, its off tomorrow by either the chissel or brake disc method. If not, i will do the puller on friday. I suppose i must have the wheel on, and on ground for removing the drive nut? Otherwise it will be harder to figth i suppose.

I'll have a look, I have one waiting to be fitted. It will give about 30% more cooling and not likely to suffer the split top.Does it have an oil cooler built into the bottom of the rad Keith? Mines a manual and the gearbox oil cooler is built in.
Thanks Keith, and a thanks from the Boss I've locked the suspension in motorway mode, makes it so much easier for her to get in and out since I removed the side steps and she's vertically challenged.I'll have a look, I have one waiting to be fitted. Sorry Alan, the GEMS RAD I have has no oil cooler built in. It's quite old removed from an auto. That's not to say a brand new one would not have the oil cooler, all diesel RAD's now come the the cooler for the manual needed or not. Thanks Keith, and a thanks from the Boss I've locked the suspension in motorway mode, makes it so much easier for her to get in and out since I removed the side steps and she's vertically challenged.
