Thinking of getting a diagnostic tool . This looks good. Need to sort abs issues. Anyone have experience of it on early non obd cars.

Some random data and rolling car for sensor speed on each wheel.
You can also read and delete errors.
Bleed brakes and re-calibrate the gravity sensor.
There are more data options available - I just did a selection.

You can also run a data log whilst driving for intermittent faults and then resolve them at home after the drive !

The 98 car will have the Wabco ABS not Teves, so very different, but I'm sure pscan works well with it. The website says it does...

 
I see your live data shows an error with the shuttle valves.

Is that just a static message because its probably true? :D

No, your data looks very normal.

(famous last words but) I've had my motor for 14 years and never had a wheel sensor go, or brake switch, which are the 'normal' type things Freelander owners are looking for. I've had to replace the modulator twice though due to faulty shuttle valves.

It is a well known problem with the Wabco system. Sort of thing you need a Freelander code reader/diag tool to find out as well - as are most ABS issues.
 
I found a place over here that said they would overhaul/repair the Wabco modulator.

But the unit had to be sent to them for repair so I'd have been without the car for quite a while.

It was also expensive. The local Landie spares place also said they could do it... but all they would do is send it to the same people and the price became very expensive.

So I've used breakers both times.

There is also a way of 'fixing' the shuttle valves problem, I'm not sure if it is exactly a fix or a bodge to stop the Amigos. I was going to try it on 1 of the 2 units I now have in the garage, but not got a-round-tuit.

The modulator is the same as in D2 and presumably Defender if they ever used the Wabco.
