Good night all.

I'm going all out with the suspension of my Rangie and I'll be replacing the 4 airbags and shocks soon.
I'm thinking about getting me 4 Terrafirma shocks (TF125 and TF126). I've read some nice reviews on other forums but none here.
As anyone fitted them? How do they compare versus less/more expensive shocks ?

If you search you'll find at least one positive review of Terrafirma's for P38's on here cause I wrote it. I've had them on the car about 12 months and I like them, they're certainly better than the OEM ones. Coupled with some Arnott Gen 2 bags it's like driving a different car. The other advantage of the Terrafirma's is they allow an extra 2" of travel as standard, which will work great with the extra 2" lift possible with Arnott Gen 3's, which are next on my shopping list.

hiya kernow. can you be more specific? on or off road? stiffer ride overall or smoother and more progressive?
Hi Rasheed, I reckon they're better on and off road. On road there's more stability, particularly noticable at standard height, less roll through the corners, and better turn in. Off road the wheels appear to maintain better contact with the ground and there's a bit more articulation thanks to the longer travel.

A Portuguese member of a local forum has said that he finds them more soft and with slightly more body roll than the OEM ones, lol!

Does anyone have any recommendations for another maker ?

I ran with the Terrafirma's on the front and OEM's on the rear for a few weeks before I got round to changing the rears too, and the front was definately more stable than the rear!

I've just had terrafirma shocks fitted to my classic, in fact I picked it up this morning!!!

MASSIVE improvement on road, although I've not had a chance to take it off road yet.

ive had terrafirma +5's fitted for 8 months and have just been told by the mot tester that the 2 front shocks have a slight leak, i will email them tomorrow to seek replacements and post there response
