Had a chat with him a few weeks back, hes got some poorly family atm and some gearbox trouble on the white two door to boot so I expect hes a bit too busy to post on here atm. I am sure he will be back!

life has thrown afew sad spanners in the works...car had to wait..

but things are getting sorted..(life)..dont ask ,personal ****e

so back to BRB..was R..ie red...then named Bg..ie big red..now big red barstard..

given up with 6.2...waiting on rebuild kit from usa..will rebuild and sell..offers circa 1500..for rebuilt engine,turbo install,mounts and new inlection pump,new injectors,new flywheel clutch adapter plate etc...

so..i hate to say..tempory gonna install this.(see pic below) untill sell 6.2 and can afford an ls1..



oh and incase any beady eyed clever types noticed plenum chamber reversed...well its for this of course..lol




sooooo

does anyone know how to hook up manual gearbox to gems engine?problem i have is crank sensor rotor is on auto flexplate..no rotor no go..

trigger wheel and sensor on front crank pulley like mega squirt.
 
yep,that would work..was rather hoping for LR swapy bits solution though??
 
will have a chat to dave (ashcrofts) tomorrow...maybe he has an answer..would like auto..but how to make hp24eh fit lt230 without spending any money??xmas coming up...even though the ex wont let me see my daughter hardly at all it would be nice to av the cash to buy pressy...assuming she dont destroy it before daughter gets it....(insert sad face here)

well the options re auto are...give dave 275

or remove end casing of 24 box..cut end of output shaft off,drill and tap to except shaft coupler as used in classic zf, replace end casing with classic end casing..hmmmmmmmm

so wanted....rrc auto box fecked cos i will be gutting it!

so started to make s/c bracket







BUT i need to know some dimensions..before i weld braces to bracket ,make s/c supports etc..

please rrc with v8...distance from top of rocker cover (near side) to top of shocker, thats vertical distace..
and distance from top of rocker to edge of shocker..thats horizontal distance..

above is to gauge if i need to move s/c bracket up some..thanks
