Doug Hi,
just remember that if your truck has been lifted for more than 2 inches you
will also have to change the following parts in order to prevent mechanical
damage and restore your vehicles handling feel and proper factory
recommended front steering geometry.
1. Front propshaft so as to prevent premature wear on your front and center
differential units.
2. Corrected radius arms (the two bars that hold the front axle to the
chassis and are parallel to the chassis) so that you restore the steering
feel and self centering characteristics
3. Adjustable panhard rod so as to restore the proper location of the axle
relative to the chassis (this is the bar that hold the front axle and is
vertical to the chassis)
If you do not replace the above items your vehicle will still be able to
used without any important problem but will develop mechanical problems with
time (vibration will start to be apparent when you drive and finally result
in problems with the seals, bearings, gears and mainshafts inside your
differential units) and you will also lose a big part of the road feel
generated by the steering system to your steering and your hands and you
will also see that the steering wheel will lose its self centering
characteristics.
Be also extra careful on taking corners at speed or driving on slopes since
the body lift alters the center of gravity of your vehicle and renders is
more unstable also on strong side winds.
Hope this helps
Take care
