Was attempting to cure a running issue on our Disco 1 auto 300tdi yesterday - after spotting a damaged leak off return pipe, we went to replace it...and managed to drop the nut of the banjo connector on the back of the injection pump for the leak off return line! (after 3 hours digging and unable to find it, we've given up on it...)

Problem is, most pump seem to have bolts, this has a banjo "stud" which has (had) a blank securing nut on the end of it - and i cannot find it listed anywhere or indeed find anything like it!

Can anyone offer any advice/pointer where i could get a replacement? Ive attached an image with the missing part highlighted....Help please?? ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist it.

I thought that it was only me who could lose stuff whilst standing in one spot.

I know..tell me about it! you'd thing in a bay that size it would be hard to lose things....so far that's the return banjo nut and a lift pump bolt (which we managed to find wedged in the engine mounting last night....typical!)

anyone give any advice? I've measured it as an M12, but not sure if the thread is std 1.5 or 1.25mm - any help?

if it's hydraulic fuel pipe related it's usually BSP thread form..

bugger - well that's sent me right back to the drawing board then....! was just about to hit the buy button on an M15x1.5mm on fleabay...cant find any non metric banjo cap nuts anywhere :(

Anyone know where i might source them? SSL don't list them who i normally use..

Hi,
You could perhaps unscrew the banjo stud and replace with a more usual banjo bolt, its probably a course thread in alloy, maybe a 12 x 1.75mm.
