Oil spewing out of the engine!!

Hi all,
Can anyone help?
Just bought a defender and when taking it home everything went wrong!
Oil all over the engine bay and we obviously don't want to drive it further in case it seizes up. Typical!!
We will be taking it back to him as soon as we can but I wonder if anyone local could help trailer or tow it home?

Not at the moment. Oil is everywhere so I can't really tell. Btw it is a td5

Yes Thankyou! Absolutely fuming that the seller hasn't checked this out. He is a mechanic after all and he has just MOT ed it

Maybe the more mechanically minded here could advise whether it's safe to drive.
