Is there any way to check the oil levels in your diff's and gearbox.

The oil was changed by the guy that i brought it off in july but being 40yrs old has a few leaks and dont want to run them dry.

Cheers
Rob

diffs are easy there is a large square head plug on either the diff housing or the backing plate just fill with ep90 to that

the gearbox the should be a square drive plug on the n/s of the casing about half way do the same here and the transfer is to the left of the handbrake drum also square drive

probally best to drain them allfully and fill with fresh oil just make sure you can open the filer before you drain the oil

ep90 GL4 goes in gear box, make sure you get GL4 though not GL5 or the brass parts in your gear box will get eaten up.

EP90 GL4 in Diffs, transfer & gear box, sterring box and swivels, but you can use 'one shot grease' in swivels, I do, it doesn't leak out.

Yeah, just be aware of acellerated wear in the top railko bush, it uses spash lubrication of oil in the swivel housing, Otherwise you could put a grease nipple on the top pin to keep things lubricated, I think there is a kit for this??
