I've got an oil leak on the TD5 90, it looks like its below fuel pressure regulator and ends up dripping around the side of the bellhousing. The bottom of the starter is all oily too.

I don't think it's Fuel as it feels too oily and the oil level is dropping too.

I'll also add that above the fuel pressure regulator is dry as well as the back of the engine.

Any ideas of what could leak around this area?

It's odd to get an oil leak there, what you describe is usually the fuel pressure regulator, or the connecting pipes which leak down the starter and the bell housing, might wash some muck and oil down with the diesel. Have you tried jamming some paper under there to absorb the fluid, or put some cardboard under the engine overnight, just to be certain what is leaking out.

I originally thought it was fuel too, but it feels too oily and the oil level is dropping on the dipstick, unless I've put 2+2 together and got 6?

Well If you have checked then best to look elsewhere, DaveM makes a good point, the gasket has a half moon shape at the back and it has a nasty habit of moving when you put the cover back on, could stop the cover seating, needs to be located firmly.

Rear camshaft seal plug leaking out the back of the head? Unlikely but a apart from rocker gasket and fuel block there isn't much to leak back there
