oil in turbo air intake (Defender 90 w' Disco TDI)

a glimmer of hope! thank you, I will try this over the weekend and clean everything back up...

Thank you to all that gave me comments, ideas and suggestions.

I can now confirm that the symptoms presented (oil in the pot and smoke from the breather) pointed to a blown head gasket. the gaskey was blown at the con rod allowing oil into the combustion and resulting in oil in the breathers.
