Morning all…another stranger one perhaps. When accelerating in my 4.0 V8 (Thor) I hear a strange sound from under the bonnet - like rushing coolant being forced through the cooling pipes. Other than a very slight weep from the join between metal and rubber pipes/hoses to the heater matrix there doesn’t appear to be any significant leaks, the level in the header tank is fine, and the temperature gauge reads normal. When stopped the engine doesn’t sound or smell likes it’s overheating. The only other thing I’ve noticed is a small puddle under the header tank, but again coolant levels appear ok. Maybe I have air in the system? Any advice as ever would be greatly appreciated. I intend to change all the heating/cooling pipes and hoses in the New Year, including the header tank and radiator, just because of the age of the vehicle. Just a good overhaul really. Many thanks!
