OAT?

All I get from RAVE is:

50% coolant (one part antifreeze, one part water)

ethylene glycol based anti-freeze (no methanol!) with non-phosphate corrosion inhibitors suitable for aluminium enginers.

I have a bottle of blue stuff here that I keep as spares anyway and it conforms to that (car plan cheapo) but obviously it's blue, not pink/orange.
 
So, following the guides and RAVE, I drained the coolant via the plug under the radiator. I've done the rings and I'm now topping it back up. I've removed the breather from the radiator and I'm filling the coolan tank which is slowing draining from brimmed. I'm not getting any at the breather though.... Any ideas? :/

Why did you drain the radiator to change the O'rings? All you needed to do was pipe clamp the two heater pipes disconnect them. Blow air into one of the pipes going to the heater, that expels coolant from matrix. Do O'rings and top up. Why make life difficult?
 
No pipe clamps :p

Managed it though, everything seems healthy and working well! :)

Does not matter, just remove the heater hoses plug them and tie them back out of the way, you loose a bit of coolant but draining the rad is daft. Sometimes RAVE is so bloody stupid it hurts. :);)
 
Should probably add, btw, that I didn't drill any holes or cut any plastics or ducting either. Manhandling things out of the way and using tape to secure it seems to be the other of the day!
 
Just did mine following the rangerover.net advice aswell as the you tube vids. I just clamped my coolant pipes, lost about half a litre. I did cut the main plastic heater (square) tube and just duck taped it back up.

Also did my broken drivers side blend motor while I was there.

Not going to try to fix sat nav but will try to do the heated seats.

Love driving it but will seriously have to consider LPG.

Well I never thought of myself as a southerner (bit of an insult to us northeners) but thinking about it I suppose in relation to Scotland we all are. Glad the vote went the way it did personally and I used to love going North when I was on the road, hated going South to that London sh*thole:D:D
