ive had this problem for the last 3 years with mine, ive replaced the whole hand brake system.its sorted now ive slackened it off so it doesnt work. it doesnt stick now

Because yours has drums on the rears too the shoes like to stick inside the drums, mine does this everytime I park up after driving in the wet and then leaving for a few days. I just put it in gear and snatch it forward off the clutch, normally frees itself after 2-3 gentle tries and is fine then.

If your going to hit it with a hammer ( the hand braked drum) then chock the wheels if you in a hill,

I have also had is happen on my old ex mod 90... I just took the centre panel out from the seat panel and used a lump hammer on the hand brake drum....

Being ex army it had been done many times before and brake drum showed lots of hammer marks..

I then just used to drive it occasionally with the hand brake on ever so slightly.. It either dried everything out nicely from the heat generated or cleared any surface rust from the matting surfaces...

Get your lump hammer on it mate !

Yer in Illingworth and you got a Landy, and you want the heater to work, and yer brakes are sticking, and yer haven't ****ted it yet!!!

I love an optimist!

Point it down the hill to Mixenden and if that don't free yer brakes off, then nothing will ... Either that or drag it up to Ogden, coz there's plenty of hill going to the reservoir!
