Hi Guys, and any Dolls that may be reading. I need to put a bit of info right.
Met THE MAD HAT MAN last night for the first time and a lot of info was exchanged so he got a tad mixed up.
Sorry to let you all down but the Pink Dakar is only a standard 3.9 V8 Range Rover. The Bowler he mentioned is a 5.0 V8 Stage 2 in my P38, lovingly built by JE Engineering of Coventry who do the Bowler engines. Mine is for reliability as it is our "family car" so is only 280BHP and 330ft/lbs.Was toying with the idea of their marvellous 4.7 Superchargedwith 560Nm but as we regularly visit the mother-in-law in the South of Spain we went for a more reliable less powerful option.

Forgot to add in my post that anyone who thinks I ain't "tuf", yer WRONG. Try driving a Pink car wearing a Pink T-shirt, and Pink Baseball Cap into BRIGHTON on the Land Rover London2Brighton Run! Now thats dangerous if you're batting for the right side!
Yes, colour was tongue in cheek, originally bet £50 I wouldn't race a Pink car in my 1st Banger Race. I won the £50 but lost the race. I then raced Pink Bangers for 8 years before giving up due to work commitments, so when the Dakar was built there was only one colour to choose.
