Some of you may of remembered my pre Christmas thread relating to the 72 series 3 I bought and had an issue with.
Well after a lot of heated exchanges and a failed MOT the dealer collected the LR and issued a full refund.
Moving forward I found a lovely 1965 Series 2a petrol locally. Its had a total of 7 owners in 50 years and is mechanically sound and was given the blessing by the local LR garage.
She was stored in a barn for many years and has 50000 on the clock. The last owner gave her a fresh coat of paint sprayed I might add (not hand painted !!) She has had some welding done properly new clutch recon gear box new servo new breaks new MOT and starts on the button and overall is very clean and a fraction of the price of the last one ;-)
She came with bench seats all though they were not fitted ill be putting them back in sticking in some matting in the rear and giving the doors a rub down and a coat of paint.
She drives like a dream. So without further ado here she is.

Looks really nice and genuine, nice colour too, better than that overpriced rusty green lump of **** you got ripped off with.

Job well done.

Tidy looking vehicle. You've got to paint that spare wheel limestone to match the road wheels though!

I will repaint the spare and want to mount it on the bonnet. The inside will also get a rub down as a small amount of surface rust and a coat of paint.

Can I ask how much it was? Was it similar to what you paid on the pile 'o' ****e?

No where near £3200

Looks really nice! Bet you're chuffed with that :)

Very chuffed ;-) She is loveleeeeeey

A great truck and she looks well at home in the yard.

Fits in nicely and the horses approve ;-)

I presume the cup holders are Whitworth? Or is it one Whitworth and one AF? Very nice motor. :)

Looks really nice! What is the unit to the right of steering wheel?

Electric heater for the windows its a bit crappy so will see about fitting a modifies heater.

That is lovely. Great colour too, congratulations- I can tell that you love her already, must be super pleased!

Very happy ;-) Have some pictures of what she was like before her last owner overhauled her.
