So far the things that spring to mind apart from the organisation of the trip and laning itself are

Charity Collection/ Just Giving/ Monitoring who's coming paid etc/ set up thread.

Publicity- local, national, 4x4 based, associated with the charity , local councellors, book promotion etc

Accommodation/camping ( so far seems under control )

Party - marquees, big top, food, alcohol, who's bringing what for communal stuff, lighting, music etc


Sure theres other big stuff too but that's at the top of my head at the moment.

I'm sure that Muds, Poppy and me don't mind splitting the other stuff btw us so we all have something to focus on , otherwise we'll be tripping over ourselves .

I'm happy to do Party - if no one else has a burning ambition ( plus there's less IT stuff to do with organising that :eek:)

Air Ambulance would be my choice and a great comfort to those who live in rural areas , and whose safety depends on air lift rescue , only the other day my friend Morgan was air lifted off Carne Brea after falling from her horse.:(

As regards to producing LZ/Air Ambulance window stickers/logo stuff , i can enlist the help of my brother, very experienced freelance graphic designer , who could sort through logo stuff and knows the technicalities of copyright and all that bollocks.

are air amublance or any on else ,going to want to be seen supporting something contentious like a green laning day ,and i think boomers thoughts on publicity are very valid ,though giving to a worthy applicable charity is apt:)

Ok general consensus is air ambulance, good well known charity so ill look into setting a page up with them as soon as we have a name :)

I agree with what you say james , that's why we need to show them that these trips put safety above all else and that they are methodically planned down to the Nth degree ... with the way government funding is going , a few more coppers in the kitty wouldn't go amiss..and no normal charity would turn it down ...but we'll get in touch with them and see .. if they don't want to be associated then we'll have to think again , but it would be nice if they did .
