Hi, I was hoping for a little help with my D2, it broke down last week and the altenator had gone, and the battery had also died fully. I have replaced the altenator and fitted a new battery and the disco won't start???? The dash displays the battery light before start up which stays on, but the disco won't turn over at all. Voltage is 12.8 and all connections and leads are good, the altenator is good as is the starter motor, I can get the engine to turn over by bypassing the starter ignition wire also. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like your starter relay.

Try keeping the key turned to the crank position for mire than a few seconds.

Is the alarm led flashing when you are trying to start,if so its the immobilzer,if your keyfobs aren't working you will need the EKA code to start it,instructions on how to input code are in the vehicle handbook
