Evening All - Just wondering if anyone has put a sound deadening kit from noise killer group on their hippo? Mine's a TD4 auto so was quiet, until I put 225/75/16 Kumho KL71's on it; I'm just trying to see if there's any way I can negate some of the associated droaning tyre noise from the cabin.

I've put self adhesive neoprene sheets on all panels of my SE. Mostly because my Maxxis Bravo AT are so noisy. It made a huge difference and cost under £30 to do.

I bought it from Amazon. I can't link Amazon to here for some reason. I see the price has dripped a huge amount since I bought mine.
Here's a screen shot of what I bought.

I stuck it on the inside of the outer panels and on the inside of the inner panels too. I also put cut sections on door cards and boot side panels. I was shocked at just how much the road noise reduced.

Thanks for that nodge, if you're suffering with AT's picture what my hippo sounds like with these badboys on the wheels...

Seriously capable tyres, its almost unbelievable the paths I went laning on this evening and the way the hippo absolutely monstered the terrain, and they are good on the road, just noisy, oh so noisy.

Have you thought about wearing ear defenders?:)

He needs some Bose noise cancelling over the ear head phones but only to be worn off road it’s illegal to have both ears covered on the public highway lol

I thought that was the whole forum? I'm going to fix my tailgate window mech, would it be worthwhile putting some of that gear on in place of the stuff that's already in place? And my rear left window, so if I got some, it would be going under all of the door cards, eventually.

I recall that Winu, a member on here, did a lot of work restoring his L series FL1. It included a complete strip out of the interior and installing sound insulation. Lots of pics on his posts too:) iirc he used a 3M product.
