No Road?

G'day
I am looking for an update for my SatNav system. It's the OE in my X reg Vogue. I keep going down roads which do not show on the map. Must be a very old version of the CD that is loaded.

I recently bought a 2001 (Y) DHSE with sat nav.it came with a genuinedisc from land rover dated 2001. i managed to find an update on ebay. its a 2003 disc and its made by Navteq. the roads are a bit more up to date and it has more local information (petrol stations etc) listed. i paid about £50 for the disc on ebay. i think you can also buy them new from LR - £130

do you know the VDO model no?

I had a fully installed "after-fit" ie built into the dash jobby from vdo it was fiited in 2001-2002 and is the model no MS 5000

i needed ´to change the language over into english (long story) I ordered a new op system for it over ebay - arrived this morning at the office went down in the lunch break and bingo updated the system and had extra features like Zip code entry etc

the op system i have is ....hold on ....back again MO 5076 compatable with vdo models MS 4900 5000 5100 6000
i will see if i can retive it on to a cd disck / i.e zip file

cannot promise anything but will check it out

I know it was a real pain sourcing a upgrade

OR

trek down to you local LR dealer if its the OEM they will update the software on its next service

PS I have a 2006/2007 Uk & ireland disk bought about a month ago - i have no ideal how to copy it ..... anyone out there with any advice of course i only need it as a back-up copy....
