WOOOHOOOOOOO Just got a quote from Performance Direct - £791 with all the mods I want!!! That's way cheaper than I'm paying now!
I'm still waiting to hear from NFU and A plan but this is really promising!

Crikey my luck has changed!!! Peter Best quoted £612 with green laning cover and all mods approved.

Ok I've had a few quotes now of which be far the best three are these:
Performance Direct:
£791 Fully comp With £50 excess
No cover for other vehicles
4000 Annual mileage cap
Greenlane and offroad cover
Ok for mods
Peter Best:
£612 Fully comp (discount for club membership included) £60 Windscreen excess.
No cover on any other vehicles
5000 Annual mileage cap, SDP only.
Greenlaning cover
No NCB can be earned on the policy.
Ok for mods
A Plan (spoke to Dan the 4x4 specialist):
£699 Fully comp with £100 excess, £75 windscreen excess.
1000 Business miles
6000 Annual mileage cap.
Green lane and off road cover
Must be a modified land rover - they've given me 3 months to carry out my specified mods.
I think I'm going to go with A plan as the insurer is very pro 4x4 and modified vehicle orientated. Sounds like the more mods you have the happier they are and they won't insure stock vehicles.
