No hot air out of Heating

Does anyone have any idea why my P38 does not emite any hot air from the heating systems. The pipes in the engine bay are freezing one side and boiling the other?

I think the heaters are max, but i lost the display 2 days ago, so not sure if it is connected with that. Only had it a few weeks.
 
Heater matrix full of dirt, there's no valve so only cake/blockage can prevent flow.
Take of the hoses and reverse flush with water - might work if lucky

As always with any second hand car, check to see if the seller has deliberately blocked it off to hide a fault before selling.
 
Maybe not connected/by-passed, fools fix for leaking matrix/o-rings.
its two bigger alu pipes in rh side through wall connected with hoses to engine cooling system
sure it should be easy to find a photo on-line

it is the 2.5 diesel. I shall have a look at rave and also another workshop manual i have to see if i can take the pipes off etc thanks
 
Right i seem to have hot air again. Strange it never worked earlier in the week. Got to sort the lights out on display now. But bigger problems as per my other post. Black smoke coming out exhaust. Still not put off by Range Rovers yet.

Owners manual may be a good read;) There's a dimmer for the light - just in case:D
 
yeah someone else said there is a dimmer, but i need to try and find it. had a look can cannot see it. perhaps i should read the book. need to sort out the black smoke first thanks
 
Well i went out and had a toggle of it and nothing. I then pushed the display and nothing. Pushed it harder and it came back on. Cannot get it off now. So think it is fixed now so thanks for all the help. At least i know what the toggle thingy is now
