So.. here we go.

Exhaust - downpipe were killed on last "Action". This time it will be cheap mild steel stuff, because i want to make a full SS exhaust from engine to rear end. Mild steel downpipe needed for about half a year - so should work :D and maybe FL stop sounds like Kamaz.

Bearings- RR bearing squeak like old chest when turning, so both needs to be replaced... 88 quid for bearings... oh yip this is a Land Rover, car with crazy prices on some parts...

Brakes - Eeem... where's my brakes? Ah right, previous workshop burn the pads. So now we put an SUV7000 from EBC (Equivalent of Yellow stuff for normal cars). Flush whole system and fill it with ATE TYP 200. Now I got stock pads and this is terrible (Stop... Stooop, Sweet Jesus, Holly Mary stoooop nooow) . My FL is definitely to heavy for standard brakes. Thinking brake pump renew.

Others - I got some nice parts to dress up engine bay, new tool for polish and cleaning it all around. I would like to remove all rusted clamps, bolts. Put wires in nice sleeves. Results to follow soon. Also I need to renew oil in IRD after first 1000 km /620 miles.

Also done

New rear wheel hub bearings. No more squeak on full lock turns. If somethings sounds like old wooden crate - change your bearings

New brake pads - EBC 7000
New brake pipes - in second plan
New brake fluid - ATE TYP200

Here we have a nice little thing in exhaust manifold. Thermocouple. Now time to fit gauge on dash. New downpipe is fitted too ;D

And temporary mounting for coolant pipes. Those left after EGR cooler. Wondering what to do with them. Remove completely from "T" pieces near Heater inlets or left for Webasto?

Also i would like to remove entire EGR stuff. But need to check that disconnected EGR modulator will cause "Check Engine"

Good to see you are getting your car sorted Winu. The check engine light wont come on when removing the EGR on the L series.

Good to know about EGR and modulator. So i can remove all unnecessary items from engine compartment (vaccum pipes, modulator from bulkhead ect)

I can try some wax for plastics, but probably effect will be unseen ;) , this is MY'2000 so it have gray plastics since new, maybe gray will be "deeper"

Trust me the difference will be big. Its still grey, but deeper as you said. I also have a black L series with grey plastics. :)

Few more photos from yesterday

This loom will be visible, so must look nice :)

Thermocouple fitted is fitted in 3rd cylinder (hottest) outlet. Now i need to clean engine bay, remove egr hardware, and make some nice ronbox mounting. Probably use space "after wheel change set"

Video from gauges working soon ;)

Also Simon finish my winch bracket and it should arrive soon, so :D

It is looking really nice. Are you doing a complete refurbishment of the interior or the whole vehicle.

Whole vehicle. Interior will be Ash gray/black with red stitch accents. Trim plastics are left in gray (A,B,C,D posts, door cards, dash headliner) Centre console and details (speaker covers, vents, cup holders ect) will be black.
Seats, door card material insert and rear couch will be Black MB leather with red stitch.
Headliner was done earlier.

Where do you fit a winch on the freelander?
On the front, under bumper between A-bar pipes.

Little swap today :
