Looking at the p38 pictures me and a mate took a mate down waterlane in a RR sport 12 plate let's say it didn't go well I did say are you sure you want to do it.

Thanks Paul and Tim. Kind of gets around "going equipped...just in case" I mean if you come across an obstacle such as overhanging branches without any tools then do you back up and report it to the local authority? Making an easement is only allowed with what you have to hand?

Thanks,
Diff.

No we drive through them, which is why my Landy has the scars to prove it :D:D:D

One of the reasons I was checking how far people want to go on this trip

Lol. Tell me about it. Another hour past and I'm still crap!!!

Im using some 5mm angle and 5 mm flat plate. I can get the weld on one or the other but I just can't get them to join.

The welder is a arcweld 140.

I've found a garage in Calverley who will do it for £40. Sold...
presuming the angle and plate are both mild steel?
one aint cast or monkey metal is it?
could give yer some pointers at the workshop if ya like, show you how to do it.
can be there any evening 'cept Tuesday.

right, so what time/where ARE we meeting on sat :)

Time will be up to Paul. I have a plan for a good meeting place at the start of the route though :D

Just going to check it out on the way down to the stables :D

It will be somewhere near the airport though

OK I suggest we meet in the Chevin Park Car Park opposite the Royalty Pub (not open), Yorkgate, Otley, West Yorkshire LS21 3DG

Time to be decided by Paul.

Its just before the start of the first lane

I'd suggest meet at 9 for 9.30 ish start.

On the revised route you've got a start just down the road from the Chevin Hotel, is this a car park?

Can't see any problems with the route, but I might not go back the whole way to the airport 'cos I can cut across to the A1 slightly earlier at Bramhope!

Its opposite the Royalty Pub

I'm a complete newbie top welding. I know that arc welding is an art to get it right.

I'll definitely take you up on that offer some time. Much appreciated...
