Newbie laning and recovery training - the cheap option

Don't worry .. if you've done them before and you know they're easy that can be part of the 'training' .. I'll try to show you or tell you what I look for when going down a new lane (they'll all be new to me probably) and what would make me turn around etc ... Sure there'll be somewhere we can stop, even if it's a pub car park ... ;)

OK, thats good

I have done all the lanes apart from the second one before. The second one I have done half of it but not the first bit. You can get to the second bit by going round the road. I thought it would be quicker to driver the first bit, but wanted to check it first.

The furthest ones on the route I sent you, you have done on the Sunday route. Doubt if we will have time to do them all though

No worries, I regularly go out alone on new routes .. Do as I say, not as I do!

If I have any doubts when I see the lanes it might be a good experience to show you and explain why I have doubts, but it takes quite a bit to put me off nowadays .. ;)

Can you send me the route so I can work out what to look for on OS maps?

Once I can understand how to find routes I'll try find some more...

If your out searching for any new routes near me give me a shout. I'd love to tag along.

just bidding on a couple of CBs on fleabay at the moment, then I dont have to keep whacking mine for it to work properly...
I could fix it, but been catching the fleabay bug again :)

looking for rope meself anorl, only found new stuff atm, about £4 a meter.

theres a proper rope place somewhere locally (did know where, but cant remember atm) if I can find em again, might contact em and see how much a roll is, if there 3 or 4 of us wanting ropes of a decent length, might be as easy to buy a roll and make some up, gonna contact the TAs in bradford anorl for nrg's idea :)

What length would be advisable? Would10 metres do it???

Not got em yet, was a reply to the not using ropes to winch with...
Still looking at ropes, left a message for the store master. At thornbury barracks to see what they do with their aerial slide ropes...
