Hi all, My name is rick, just got back into range rover ownership after a few years of hiluxing! bought RR 5 days ago and the air suspension has dropped and won't come back up again, I have viewed a couple of threads on here and decided to go for the spring conversion.
having checked out the motor it has had a new air pump 3 years ago but the bags look perished.

Dont do it
A friend of mine recons that with the conversion they drive much better, less body roll on the road etc than on worn air bags not sure about new ones.
My problem is simply why is the air suspension not working, i'm guessing its one of the bags, there was some popping noise from under the bonnet as the car was lowering, then on trying to lift some hissing noises coming from the back n/s. inside the lights are flashing but nothing else happens.

i doubt u'll find many people agreeing with that one if they handled better on springs l/r would have fitted em, its a personnal choice but i wudnt do id keep the eas check for leaks with a spray bottle of soapy water chances are it may just be bags

:welcome2: to landyzone.

At around £80 for an airspring and 30 mins to fit it, keeping the original air suspension is the obvious choice.

I would ask your mate where he got his facts from regarding better stability with a coil spring conversion. Might be worth asking him what EAS stands for.;)
