Pics would be good. Cheers bud.
Both sets look good What siZe round tube did you use ??
Just thought id post a couple of pics of my rock/tree sliders, there made out of box but are 80x120x5mm, i wanted them to go way below the doors so that i could get the tree sliders on and also protect my chassis out riggers as ive got a 2in body lift too, the drivers side was quite bad and had to cut most of the floor away and also had to notch the bottoms of the doors to get them to shut as the extra width fouls with the doors, anyways a few picys of mine
What about tube with a flat top functional and prity ?? It would be a bit more work lo.
Yes could easily work but is it worth all the extra effort? As I said I really think the tube looks nicer but my box is strong and functional and on my old dog it didn't seem worth the effort or wait to get tube and I'm glad I didn't now,I was out in a friends motor the other day and Herr has tubular sliders, shop bought, and when climbing back in after slipping through mud I found the tubes harder to use as a step as my foot slipped off if I didn't get the angle of attack right. Granted it only happened a couple of times until I had got the measure of them.
Skateboard tape was used by someone, can't remember who tho -
worked well and as far as I know is still going ...
