New owner, after suspension advice. Please

I purchased a 2003 l322 a couple of months back and alls been well until yesterday.
Whilst driving the suspension dropped on the offside, so I presumed a bag was leaking.
I returned home, switched off and restarted all seemed ok again. (no faults showing).
However today whilst driving the same happend but on the nearside.
Ive tried searching but cant seem to find any info on a fault where it drops from one side to another.
Is there anyone that could shed some light on this for me please.

Height sensors, diagnostics should give recorded faults. Saint will be along as soon as he gets to work.

There are cross link valves that tie the two air bags together (there are two valves one for the front and one for the rear), in off road conditions, these valves open and allows the air pressure to equalise across the axle and makes the suspension act as if it was a solid axle (like Land Rovers of yore) as this gives better off road traction - it works by when one side compresses the air is forced over to the other side and pushes that side down to ensure that wheel maintains traction....if that makes sense.

It could be the Cross Link valve is operating incorrectly and leaking air pressure randomly from one side or the other....but this is very rare and is unlikely.

The only other thing would be the height sensors giving spurious readings and not feeding back to the ECU the right info causing the ECU to adjust the ride height incorrectly.....this usually happens after the vehicle has been jacked up and the wheels left dangling in mid air.....Range Rovers hate having there legs dangle!!

I would get it on to a diagnostic machine and look for any stored fault codes, and also use it to read live data of the height sensors and ensure they are reading correct and giving smooth readings.

Watching this thread in eager anticipation as I did not have any EAS issues previously BUT my front nearside wheel has been 'dangling' for the past three weeks, (repairing passenger side floor well and also had to strip clean and trim auto tranny bowden cable as it was virtually impossible to move via the lever), so I will now expect some error messages!

Will also be interested to see if my EAS diagnostics software will be of any use, (it only arrived yesterday - complete with a compressor rebuild kit), just trying to cover all future bases!
