Hi everyone,
Now i know this has probably been covered a million times.
But can i get away with the egr removed and a decat pipe on the 110 td5?
Ive spoke to storm tuning as im heading there for a remap, however prior to this pipe n egr must be done.
Enquires were made and ive been informed that it will still pass.....as technically a mot tester can not remove anything to do the "visual" checks that are now needed.
Also Because the older 10p engine didn't have a cat and the MOT system doesn't identify which TD5s are fitted with cats they can't fail it aslong as you don't go with it obviously chopped out and a straight bit welded in.
Is this correct? As i would hate to go through with it all then have a fail in which im not allowed to drove the vehicle away.....as the threat states in new mot rules
