New Freelander to my family, with its problems...it's a Landrover I hear you say

Hi all, just bought a Freelander TD4 2004 with 77,000 miles, Already own a TD5 Defender and a Disco 2 TD5, after a weeks ownership the Freelander as discided to chrisen the drive herself. I have what looks like a diesel leak, can any one shed any light on where this is coming from, I can't see any signs on the engine just the under tray has a wet stain and few drops. The clutch pedal has started sticking before returning to normal position, this hasn't affected the operation of the clutch yet, the master cyclinder is pressed right against the bulk head and looks difficult to check the fluid. Would the piston be stick and is it time for a new master cylinder?
