Hi Guys, joined this morning. I own a 1984 s3, 109, FFR soft top which I feel at home in as I'm ex R,sig's. No radio kit in it at present. The veh was fitted for Clansman, but I was thinking of fitting it out with Larkspur, just for display purpose's as I have an old c42. Not decided yet.

Welcome!

That's confused 'em, eh? I think Larkspur was phased-out by the time your Rover came into service, so from an anorak's point of view it wouldn't really look the part. Clansman stuff is available from places like Johnson's of Leeds etc.
How about a photo?

Roger that, Clansman came about the early 80's infact I remember getting the HF sets first, then the VHF sets, some older s3's were converted from larkspur to clansman during that time. My rover was made in '84, by which time clansman was in, so the veh was fitted out for clansman. When I was on rovers I was mostly on larkspur vhf secure Rebro's, which is why I thought about sticking in an old c42 I've got. Ref photo's, will do soon as I get round to it.

Hmmm... an '84 Series 3 eh? That means it was made after the 110/90 officially replaced it :)
I don't think Rover (or were they still called British Leyland then?) sold any civvy S3s after the 100/90 launch, they just fulfilled military back-orders. So yours is definitely one of the last of the REAL Land Rovers ;)
