So I've got a bit of a little theory;
The land rover website labels the new defender as that, literally 'New Defender's that's what it's branded as. What I like to think about is that by doing that they can also still slot in an 'Old Defender' if the new one was/is a flop. I can't be the only one curious as to why they literally call it 'New Defender'.
