So I've got a bit of a little theory;
The land rover website labels the new defender as that, literally 'New Defender's that's what it's branded as. What I like to think about is that by doing that they can also still slot in an 'Old Defender' if the new one was/is a flop. I can't be the only one curious as to why they literally call it 'New Defender'.

I think it sign of failure to rename the new defender "New Defender".
Series 123
90,110,127,130 forerunner to the Defender model.
Defender 90,110,127,130
Newer ones should have another name
Ranger, Protector, Shield etc.
It's not showing progress to a better model.
Evoque on the other hand should be named Flattened, Disposed Of, Binned, Launch by Trebuchet against a castle wall. You get my drift :mad:

I get the drift! Trebuchet is the only solution!

When there's an out going model and a replacement coming in, the new one will have New in the title. Its to point out its new. Nowt to do with the old one coming back. Its to seperate the new from the old. Like New RRS.
