Never had a problem with my Oldham battery. It's been cold, very cold up here and she can sit for a fortnight without being started. Soon as I unlock and turn the key she growls into life. It cost around the 80/100 quid mark and is quite high output.

I went to Halfords and fitted a Yuasa to my dads 07 Vogue, much better than the original battery. Though beware that even though the battery compartment is quite large, you cant fill it out with battery so to speak as the leads and other things get in the way!

Just got a Yuasa today for my van a big bugger cheaper then other places with trade card and an extra 10% off £86 well happy and five year warranty .

My battery is 190mmx393mmx175mm and fits the battery tray almost to the mm, I just lifted the cables out of the way.

Couldnt move mine, the live ran into a solid plastic box of some kind

As does mine and all others of the model, it's the jump start point, on the 'outside'of the battery area . However on the 'inside' of the battery area, the cables can be moved.

Hi Andy, must be different on the big growly V8. I admit putting the battery in wasn't easy but that was more to do with having to climb onto the actual engine to get the battery straight above the tray. I haven't seen a diesel where the cables can't be moved to accomodate the battery. It was a tight fit and the cable didnt move much but by opening the bonnet to full and as mentioned, going mountaineering ,fit it did :D

Howdy G.R, This is what mine is like, this isn't actually mine but i wonder if it would fit in the other way as it is a pain getting to the terminals.

Hiya :) Right now I can't recall if mine has the terminals to front or back. Which, considering how many times I had to jump start it, is ridiculous. I blame old age. I'll try to remember to take a look tomorrow :)
