hi. have 2 problems with disco 1 300tdi, 1995.

first..had a problem with nearside front wheel. left hand down full lock juddering and seemed to resist movement at a certain point. forward and reverse. juddering still apparent but less on right hand down and resistance the same. investigation found tire rubbing slightly on radius arm and damaged upper swivel pin bearing. have replaced both swivel pin bearings. no damage to either wheel bearings or the others. replaced all seals and gaskets and filled with one shot grease. steering better but problem still exists. noticed a groove to the rear of the swivel pin entry holes top and bottom on the swivel housing but assumed they were original and not damage as they both the same, top and bottom. any ideas?

secondly. noticed no instrument panel. checked fuse. blown so replaced. put lannie in reverse and blew again. then front windows and front wipers stopped as well. noticed when instrument panel on the diff lock light still on although not engaged. currently all fuses are ok, no windows,(back ones never worked) no wipers, no heater blower no speedo. have disconnected what i assume to be reverse switch on top of gear box and speedo connection, a black connector just behind hand brake drum as both seemed wet.

Both problems occured directly after some very light laning inc shallow fords. although i have never managed to get reverse lights working as cant get to switch to replace and had couple of weeks of rear window heater being temrarmental at the switch and the heater blower cutting off for few seconds now and then.

can u help? my only car and daily driver. and its raining!

update... think found cause of problem with electrics. passenger footwell side panel and glove box removed. oh its wet in there!! water been coming in a little for a while by looks of it then ford crossings really soaked it. diconnected wet blocks, removed corrosion,(slight) and wd40 to it all. leave for bit and put back together. can,t tell if any damage done to mfu as yet. have done diagnostic on it and non working items still not working but least the mfu responded. only a tenner on ebay so replace it is prob best bet. will get window ecu at same time and pop that in as well. 25 pound ebay, good price? also checked all earth connections. don,t see anything obvious. am i missing anything obvious?

update. . . sorted electric problem. after cleaning some connectors and drying out. so all electrics back on now. have now turned attention to steering issue and a quick scout round tells me centre diff is stuck. so quick brew and dry out, and get stuck in with that one.
