Just one query there @brian47

As I assume you have done this and I expect it is a simple answer. You have a 20A fuse. But the fuses in the car if fitted are 40A for each side.?

Cheers
Yeah, I noticed that after you posted your diagram. I might have to rethink the diagram to take that into account.
I think it can probably use the existing relay and fuse, and pick up the wiring on the engine fuse box. At least it'll be easier than trying to alter the wiring at the BCU or the passenger's compartment fuse box.

Thanks for your efforts here , I will have a think about what you have suggested, but still not confident enough.
There are twp 40 amp fuses

Correction. Instead of Pink/Black wires as shown, read Pink/Brown

I can see you understand electrics better than me , I have always struggled slighly , Im an agricultural mechanic , swapped over to cars with a lot of experiance but not enough brains, haha.

Only thing I would add. Obviously depends where the supply is coming from, if it is already fused or not?

Is a fuse for the 12V supply to the trigger switch.

Plus a fuse for the timer relay.

Cheers

trigger switch being dash board one?
